The sixth season of “Only Murders in the Building” has bolstered its cast with even more star talent.
Variety has confirmed that David Tennant (“Doctor Who,” “Rivals”), Nicola Coughlan (“Bridgerton,” “Derry Girls”), Jodie Whittaker (“Doctor Who,” “Broadchurch”), Jim Broadbent (“Moulin Rouge,” “Bridget Jones’ Diary”), Adrian Lukis (“The Crown,” “The War Between the Land and the Sea”), Richard Ayoade (“The IT Crowd,” “Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace”), and Kathryn Hunter (“The Tragedy of Macbeth,” “Poor Things”) have joined in recurring guest star capacities.

Production on Season 6 of the hit Hulu comedy is currently underway in the U.K. As previously reported, the upcoming season will feature leads Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez traveling across the Atlantic to further probe the death of Cinda Canning, as depicted in the Season 5 finale.
The Season 6 lineup also includes returning actor Michael Cyril Creighton, along with new recurring guest stars: Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi, Lesley Nicol, Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, and Sharon Horgan. Da’Vine Joy Randolph has been spotted on the Season 6 set, though it remains unconfirmed whether she will reprise her role.
“Only Murders in the Building” originates from co-creators and writers Martin and John Hoffman. Executive producers include Hoffman, Martin, Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, Jennifer Crittenden, and Gabrielle Allan. 20th Television serves as the studio.
Tennant is represented by Independent Talent Group. Coughlan is repped by Curtis Brown Group, CAA, and Goodman Genow. Whittaker is with Independent Talent Group and Cognition.
